Christmas hamper
I’m making my own Christmas hamper for my in-laws again. Rather than buying an expensive basket, I’m using a box which I’ve covered in pretty paper.
Previous years I’ve bought a hamper pack which includes ribbon, cellophane and shredded paper but I haven’t been able to find any yet. I’ve seen lots of shredded paper on line but it is bought by weight and I have no idea how much I would need. It’s to cover an area about 50cm by 40cm. Any ideas? Thanks x

I’ve always bought them in Home Bargains in previous years but nothing in our local one yet. I’ll have to ask next time I’m in there.

I love the idea of doing a Christmas hamper but the basket kits are always quite expensive. A tiny one that wouldn’t fit much in was £5.99 last year near us. I know thats not exactly expensive but I am tight 🙈 😂😂

If you want to do a hamper look in charity shops for baskets and Poundland do the paper and cello in a kit
I’ve even done hampers in the pop up storage cubes from some of the stores Last year I did a Mrs Hinge ( cleaning / laundry one) in a cleaning caddy for a friends daughter as a house warming gift and I’ve used the giant oven roasting bags from Home Bargins 49p for 2 when I couldn’t get cello during lockdown they worked just fine |

I agree! That’s why I make my own, I’d rather spend the extra putting more goodies in it. I’m not particularly crafty but the ones I’ve done previously have always looked really nice.
