Should we vroom or not?

We have booked for oct
2 adults
Daughter 12 and son 10

We went to Spain in summer and found we got stung at Liverpool airport on poor food and drinks, we just used the terminal facilities, 4 breakfast and drinks £80 lighter

We fly at 10 am from man on the virgin flight but unsure how soon into the flight food arrives? Anyone any ideas?

Personally I'm happy with a greggs bacon roll and a brew but want to make sure the kids have a good fill before we fly

Any help?

Ive always booked the V Room if travelling with Virgin. Its a great start to the family holiday. Admittedly Gatwick not Manchester, cannot comment on that one. Also, if you get a delay, its nice to have somewhere with unlimited drinks to stay put and wait.

We are 2 adults. 2 kids (was 3&4)

Was a waste of money for us.
None of us ate as all too excited. The food on the plane came an hour in but that wasn’t brilliant either.

My husband had coffee, yoghurt pot, I don’t like to have liquids before travelling so just had the yoghurt thing and the girls had juice and a cookie.

Best bit was the kids room had Lego stuff that they played with.

Don’t get me wrong the food looked nice it just didn’t work out for us. Even though we had gotten up after our hotel stay no one was bothered and it was £80 for us to just basically sit in the room rather than be where the rest of people were. Was quieter.

But we haven’t booked it for next year. Nor the hotel we are driving it this time and will have breakfast bars in the car and then something when we get there at where ever does coffee I suppose.

I think £90 to sit in the Vroom and have a spot of breakfast before a two hour flight seems excessive. They will get the foodout quickly on a short haul flight.

Certainly not worth it for us on a 1300 flight. Leisurely breakfast at PI North, stroll through security, quick read of the papers then boarding. We did use it last year and were very disappointed, it was crowded, the food mediocre - wouldn’t bother again.

We got the v room free last year, can’t really complain for free but certainly wouldn’t pay for it, food wasn’t good & personally we prefer being in the actual terminal than sat in there, we found it boring, each to their own but it’s not for us & don’t think it’s worth the money if paying for it

it never worth the money they charge for it

our airport routine is :

arrive, check in, get airside, have a walk around looking in the shops, they head for a breakfast, normally a 'spoons airside, they do decent breakfasts normally for 10 quid, take your time and you are normally done in time for another quick walk around, head to wh smiths for some snacks and away you go
