Same here, except mine expire next April. I've used David's twice previously for myself and once for a friend and it's been an immediate response so I worked out after a few days that it was unlikely to happen. Points now used for family at Disney's Village Nature Paris for the family instead. Not a great use of points but at least they are not wasted.

It’s been about 3 to 4weeks since David’s asked the owners about re renting and this week they are contacting them again. Not sounding good as they are not replying so far. Re renting could be difficult due to International guests cancelling but at least we could try. Otherwise I will try the insurance route.

That doesn't sound promising if it has been 3 to 4 weeks. An owner should be able to be reached via email, phone or text relatively quickly.
