Ipad advice please

My main ipad is running slower than a snail on a slow day, if i were to do a factory reset, would it speed it up, and would it lose all the photos etc on there from the cloud? I have other ipad minis and phones all linked ito the cloud. If any experts can advise, it would be appreciated. Thanks. X

My understanding is that everything would stay in the Cloud; after all, when you get a new device, you set it up with your Apple ID & everything in the Cloud appears on your new device.

Thats what i thought. DD has managed to use up most cloud space, two ipad mini's, two iphones and the large ipad, we are all on limited space now nearing our limits, so something has to be done!

An article suggests a cause of a slow Ipad may be because it’s running out of storage space!

If you’re running out of space why not try something like Google photos, provides 20gb of free storage. Or get an external hard drive, if you’re running the latest IOS software you can transfer photos directly from iPad to an external hard drive
