Closing signatures for DVC resale and other questions...

In these difficult times we have made the slightly crazy (but very happy with it) decision to increase our DVC points by buying a resale contract! We purchased VGF direct from Disney a few years ago and it was a very simple process but after lots of research we decided to go resale this time and had an offer accepted on DVC Resale Market last night.

I'm being optimistic so assuming we get through ROFR.. If so, a few questions for those of you who have done this before please:

Will we need a notary for closing documents (it says on contract that we may?) If so, where will we find one?

we have purchase same resort, same use year so will all the points link up nicely in my DVC account and will I be able to book at 11 months out with all the points?

Will DVC account register the new points easily?

Any advice/help appreciated!

Congratulations... Hope we'll soon be saying:

I think it possibly may be dependant on the title company your broker uses.

I know nothing at all about resale, but do have 5 contracts at 2 home resorts, all the same UY and use my points together very easily at the 11 month window for their respective resort.

OP. I have numerous direct contracts and one resale contract.

DVC will link them for you so when you log into the site you will see 2 different Membership Numbers. As you have the same resort you will be able to book from both contracts at the 11 month mark

We didn't need to use a Notary when we signed.
