Virgin October flights

Just found out our flight to Orlando from Manchester on October 9th has been cancelled. Contacted Expedia for a refund which they said could take up to 12 weeks

We have a Virgin 2 week Orlando break booked for the 16th October from Manchester.

We had all but given up hope and then saw on here yesterday that somone had seen on twitter that assuming that if (and its a big IF I guess) the US opened up that they were planning to restart flights on 6th October.

Can see about a 5% chance of that happening tbh but we'd go for it if so!

Also another problem is that even if the CDC allow flights in, it's most likely going to come with a caveat - namely a 14 day quarantine period. This makes any holiday practically impossible, as who's going to fly over there for a 2 week stay inside a hotel room?! Moreover, there will no doubt be a second 14 day quarantine period imposed by the UK upon your return.

So a Disney holiday feels totally unfeasible right now. We're booked to fly out with Virgin on 15th November and I'm not expecting this to happen. I've resigned myself to the fact that travelling this year is a bust

So I'm just waiting for Virgin to cancel the flight so I can wait a couple of weeks and file another charge back!
