You can make reservations generally so I would definitely do for Christmas Day, we've generally found any decent place to be booked out early. For somewhere like that I'd be extremely surprised if they had a different menu, but have never been, so can't confirm.

You can book it online through their website (google hard rock cafe Orlando).
No point just yet though they only take bookings for the current month and the next two months so December 25th won't be available to book until October 1st If you do book for 25/12 you may well see us in there that day too... |

Might have to have a rethink on this as I emailed them and just had a reply to say they don't accept reservations on Christmas day and it will be a 'first come, first serve' basis.

I wanted to reply with this, but it was Nov 2012 when we went. We tried to book for after Blue Man Group and was told the same thing, but we didn’t have any issue getting a table. I know Christmas will be a different kettle of fish, but that’s what I was informed of for a normal Saturday night.

I've just got visions of them making a list of names on the day as people go to the parks and by the time we get there the list being too long a wait. We're not staying up there and aren't even doing universal so don't want to drive up the I4 in Christmas day traffic and pay for parking to find we can't get a table.
Anyone got any other suggestions of somewhere we can book?

We had a wonderful Christmas day and lunch at Gaylord Palms in the Mediterranean restaurant (can’t remember it’s name). The resort is lovely and there were carol singers, the ‘ice’ experience, a show for the children etc, and we really enjoyed our meal which was an all inclusive carvery restaurant, very smart and delicious but good value. A lovely day out, it was about $30 per adult for the all inclusive carvery buffet and half that for kids, although this was about 4 years ago. Calling it a buffet doesn’t do it justice as it was delicious carvery meats, salads, side dishes, appetisers and desserts with an Italian slant to the menu. It was very smart and felt nice and festive. We would do it again if we were in orlando at Christmas time.
