2 wks POR -v- 3 wks ASMusic - HELP

So, just returned from third trip staying at Riverside and trying to work out finances for next trip 😁 Looking for recommendations please... two weeks back at Riverside or three weeks at All Stars Music? Never stayed in a value resort so no idea what they are like. Kids will be 8 and 10 and we need to have 2 rooms as mum comes with us and, understandably, neither her nor my husband want to share a room. Dining plan not a factor for us, we never get the use out of it as we don't come anywhere near using all the credits.

For our family it would it would always be 3 weeks over 2. We like a long relaxing break. We stayed at ASM a couple years ago and found it fine. We never spend much time at the hotel anyway.

Without a doubt 3 weeks at all star music. We’ve stayed at riverside 3 times and all stars (sports and movies) twice. We’ve enjoyed our stays at all stars just as much as Por, the kids actually enjoy them more and they would be their first choice. Very fun and very disney.

The rooms are slightly smaller at the value resorts but our last trip at movies we commented how it was hardly noticeable and we didn’t struggle for space (4 of us in the room).

We love POR but would choose 3 weeks over 2.

I would go for 3 weeks over 2 as it’s really just a room to sleep in. I do prefer the feel of POR over All Stars, however we have done both Music & Movies and had a fantastic time. The great thing about All Stars is the theming, I love the pools and in your face Disney part. The one bus stop is another good thing as you don’t need to pick up or drop off elsewhere. Having just eaten in FQ & POR over the last 10 days I would say you might miss the food halls as they really are fantastic. Nevertheless it wouldn’t stop me staying at All Stars...as long as I’m in Disney I would be happy.

I have never stayed at a Value Resort but I’d prefer 2 weeks at Riverside. The resort element is an important feature for me and I start worry about work anyway after about 4 days away! If I could relax into it for 3 weeks I’d probably try a value to stretch the trip out too.
