Professionally - absolutely love them. Think they're a fantastic idea and happy for anyone to use them in this capacity.

For a laugh? Hate them.

Professional use, no issue, but as toys I don’t like them. We had one hover over my garden while the kids were playing out. It was the neighbours across the road that no one talks to. I gave it the finger and haven’t had a problem since. 🙈😩

Hmmmm, i would not be too comfortable with one flying over me. In a public place , it wouldnt bother me but not if i was at home (or holiday villa).

They can do good in the right circumstances but agree with OP.

Last year we stayed at Encore. In the run up to the holiday I loved seeing the drone footage of the estate being built. While we were there they were filming in the pool area. There were signs up at the entrance. When it was overhead I did my best sashay but I never saw myself ☹️😁😁😁

Hiya We’re good thanks and hope you’re all good too? X

The weather and villa are amazing. So apart from the drone and it’s noise when it’s buzzing about, it’s a lovely relaxing holiday.

DH has a drone but we go out into the countryside with it and he doesn't put it up if there is even anyone walking by us let alone over someones house/garden. He doesn't want strangers in his footage anymore than they want to have their privacy invaded. He has read all the rules about flying them and it has built in stuff to stop it flying in prohibited places.

Not sure if he will even take it on holiday with us as don't want to fall foul of any different rules in other countries.

The noise would annoy me though were one to film where I was.
I agree as regards cheap ones. But the ones at several hundred pounds - the images are staggeringly good.

Total invasion of privacy, there should be no reason why it fly’s of people’s private properties

There are rules in place ref flying in public places. If you see who is flying it then contact the CAA or police.

Here is a summary from the BMFA website ( British Model Flying Association
