Barkers Go Westside April 2018 : Day Two - Universal & Warner Bros studio tour

After another good nights sleep in the super comfy bed we set our alarm for 7am so we could get to Universal for 9am. We had breakfast at the hotel and made our way on foot to Universal. Just as we arrived a tram pulled up to take us up the hill. We were in the park by 9.05am and it was so empty.

Harry Potter world is the only one open at this time so we headed to Forbidden Journey which was a walk on!

Yes you are seeing correctly an empty HP world!

Not used to this short queue times compared to Orlando.

We then hung around waiting for Despicable me to open at 10am. We had waited around for half an hour and was then informed the ride had technical difficulties and was shut until further notice (it was still shut when we left after lunchtime.) We went to the Simpsons ride and was just about to board the ride and was told they also had technical difficulties. 15 minutes later it was back up and running so rode Krustyland. We went down to the lower lot which takes about 10 minutes taking you down the hill with four long escalators. Tranformers ride was also a ride on so we rode it twice.

After this we went for some lunch at Mels Diner. I had chips and Darren a chili cheese dog.

Some of the view on the walk back to the hotel.

We then came back to our hotel room to get the car as we had he Warner Bros studio tour booked for 2pm.

The tour was such a good experience it lasted to hours taking you around all the tv sets and studios. We got to see loads of pretty little liars a favourite of ours.

They took us into a large warehouse where a lot of the Batman cars were kept.

My favourite... Friends!

The tour guide was great and really informative.

After this we came back to the hotel to drop of the car then walked back to Citywalk. We ate dinner at Tony Romas. We shared a full rack to try and have a cheaper meal but with tip was $48 same as yesterday at Margaritaville. The ribs were good, we then had a quick look at some of the shops and walked back. Sorry no dinner pics!

After another full on day step count was 20K so tired legs! We came back to the hotel room to watch a film then bed. Tomorrow we are changing hotels to stay in Anaheim.

Wow that is an empty Harry Potter. Great day. We love Pretty Little Liars, nice to see the photos of the set.
