Hello...part 2!
Hello Dibbers - I hope you're all good!
So, technically this is my second introduction on the forum, as the first time I sort of disappeared into the digital realm of no response. I shan't go into too much detail, but basically, I planned a trip with former boyfriend, relationship breakdown, no trip However, he was a bit of a, well, you know, so all things considered it was a fantastic turn of events! I am now a few years down the line and ready to marry the love of my life with whom I have two babies - Jack (2) and Annabelle (1) - can you guess who my favourite Disney princess is by any chance? I'm 30 this year and work as a journalist with my own copywriting business, with my partner, Antony, doing the same thing. We are getting married on 22nd December this year in our hometown of Liverpool, followed by a Disneymoon with the kids. I need LOADS of advice regarding this as I'm a bit nervous about flying with toddlers. Antony has a son who is 9 and is a breeze, but my two can be hard work. We have just got back from Spain and the flight there was erm...eventful However, they were angel children on the way back and slept right through - I suppose it's the luck of the draw?! So, another twist to my tale is that I'm 9 weeks out of chemotherapy following a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in April last year. I had Annabelle on 16th January 2017 then fell quite ill with post-partum pancreatitis, which in turn led to me developing a rather serious case of an adenocarcinoma on my pancreas. I have since had 22 sessions of chemotherapy, a large 8 hour operation called a whipples procedure and a massive, life-threatening internal bleed 5 weeks post-surgery whilst at home on my bed. My surgery has left me with half a pancreas, no gallbladder and no duodenum, but I am now in remission and good to go! I feel good, and I am totally and completely lucky. As a side note, if you have suffered or are suffering with cancer, or know somebody who is, I'm here to talk - I always promised I'd help others given the fact that I am young enough to live my life post-cancer. Sometimes talking just does the world of good and remember - it's just a scary word! Here's my story in the Daily Mail, which I did to help raise awareness of a cancer that is usually caught too late. dailymail/health/ar...rm-cancer.html Anyway! Back to the DIBB and Disney now that I have the formalities out of the way! I am looking forward to reading all of your posts and hopefully getting to know some lovely people who are as mad about Disney as I am! Loads of Love, Amy xxx

Hi and welcome back Amy
I’ve read your story via the link. What an absolutely horrendous ordeal. Glad to hear all is well now, and lovely that you want to help others who are suffering. How cute are your two children. Happy planning👍 |

Thank you
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my story - it means a lot - I just want to raise as much awareness as possible! Post-partum pancreatitis affects 1 in 10,000 women, but pancreatic cancer is much more common. It can be treated when caught in time - case in point! They are very, very cute and very, very cheeky
