Hayfever Products
Can anyone recommend anything I can buy over there is good?
My 12 year old suffers terribly with grass pollen and gets itchy, swollen eyes. None of the products over here help her particularly.

I habe awful hayfever this year but don't get itnin Florida at all. We only buy generic drugs and everything available there is also available here but sometimes under a different brand name.

Have never had hay fever in Florida, but suffer really badly here. I buy Claritin over there as it’s much cheaper than here. 😀

Why not get prescribed something from a medical professional here?
I used to get horrendous hay fever as a child (improved over the years) and had to take pills, eye drops or ointment and nasel spray, all prescribed by local GP. Never experience issue abroad due to different grass types. |

I actually thought that Anti allergy meds were extremely expensive compared to here.
You can have a look at Walgreens website for an idea of prices. For example: Walgreens own make 150 tabs are $45.99 I have only bought one lot, they were Walmart equate brand with Diphenedrine they literally knocked me out, I could'nt even work they day after I took them. As a previous poster advised I would see a GP here and get their recommendation before you go. |

The only one that works for me that I buy over there is Benadryl one a day but they make me need to sleep! Have a look at the drug name over here and the ones that don't work, and then see if there are any others for sale over there. There's loads of different ones, ignore the brand and see what drug is in each of them.

Has your DD seen her GP? There is hayfever medication available in the UK that’s only on prescription. Take a list of what you’ve tried already to show the doctor you’ve exhausted all options. Some people need tablets, nasal spray and eye drops to sort their symptoms.
I also find hayfever and cold of flu products in USA more expensive than here and many of them contain ingredients that cause drowsiness. It’s the same ingredient and strength as Nytol so you wouldn’t want to be taking that on a daily basis! |

Thanks all. She doesn't suffer in Florida - it's just here. I think a trip to the GP may be an idea then to help her. She honestly looks like she's been punched in the eyes
