The dreaded delay - Glasgow

Tucked up in bed in the villa after what was a frankly hellish experience. I know delays can happen with any airline but I would not recommend Thomas Cook at all after this fiasco. They even ran out all the components of the main meal so we ended up with no bread roll ,wee cup of water or dessert and got given a snack box containing a ploughman’s lunch instead to accompany our braised steak or curry. Cleared immigration and baggage in an hour and 20 mins which was decent. Feeling overtired,crabby and thinking never again after being awake for 27 and a half hours. Also loathe every member of my family 😂Let’s see what tomorrow brings

oh i remember that feeling well after our travel day to Orlando in 2015! Hope you all get a decent sleep after all that, and wake up to a sparkly happy happy holiday .

Glad you got there safely. Definitely raise a big fuss about all this after you get back. Wonder if there was some mechanical issues, they can happen and if a company doesn't have the backups available it all goes pear shaped very quickly. Hope you have a great trip and get some compensation for your troubles.

Brings me back to our TUI (then Thomson) trip to Malta in 2015. Late flights on the way there and on the way back (though only by 2 hours), terrible hotel rooms/views that didn't match what we paid for, we got £90 each back. Swore off them (and Malta) and decided to go Thomas Cook for last year and this years trip to Florida... lets hope that doesn't bite me in the bum now!

Did you get the option to go home ? We fly from Glasgow and with my son being paralysed this would be our worst nightmare
