Would You Book BA for Summer 2020

Hi

I have booked BA for next summer but as it was a BA holiday(just flights and car) i only paid £300 Deposit which is what i would lose if i cancelled.
All these problems BA are having leaves me a little bit nervous that its going to Rumble on and on.
I would have booked Norwegian but their financial situation is also worrying.

What i will do is keep an eye on flight prices for our date of travel and if i see flights on other carriers for at least £300 or more less than i am paying BA i may consider cancelling and rebooking with someone else.

i know its impossible to tell what will happen with BA as the current dispute has been rumbling on for months now and there seems to be no end in sight which makes me nervous.

This trip involves a lot of do it yourself bookings so its not like everything will be booked using BA

Do you think i am worrying a bit too much?

Thanks

We will be booking for next summer with BA when the prices come out, provided the prices are good. Any airline can have strikes, it may be someone else’s turn next year. We have flown with them a few times now with no problems, the onboard service has been good too. It’s up too you, but we have not been put off booking with them.

Yes, I do

Industrial action could happen to any airline. Financial failure is a possibility for some. Weather disruption is out of airline control. So much could go wrong but 95% of the time it doesnt

I agree with the above, I wouldn't be put off by recent events. If the price is right, I'd happily book with them.

I only use them where no other airline is possible. To the Bahamas for example.

Ive just booked our whole package with BA. The strikes didn't even cross my mind. This can happen to any airline or airport for that matter. Hopefully everything will be fine. I do feel sorry for those affected this week though.

Ok so i will stick with BA .

They did give me an excellent price for flights direct to Tampa and back from New York both in an out of Gatwick flying on July 27 next year.

Sorry, what problems? A strike? Well r=there are not many if any at all who don’t suffer strikes. Virgin Atlantic included.
What other problems?

I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again if the price was right, we have just returned from flying with them and we had the whole strike worry before we went too. The flight and service was excellent couldn't fault it at all.

No problem booking with them, we’ve had delays with BA, Norwegian, Monarch, Ryan Air, TUI, United airlines, for all difference reasons, the biggest one being stuck in Tenerife for an extra 30 hours in 2010 due to a Spanish ATC strike, we flew with monarch and flew with them again the next 2 years with no hassle. Just book with a credit card and have the right insurance so that you are covered in case anything does go wrong
