Free dining - what happened?

Hi everyone. I'm interested to know, did Disney offer the free dining this year? I didn't see it, but could have missed it.

Something to do with having a global pandemic. There’s no dining plan.

A lot of the restaurants and food outlets are currently closed as visitor numbers are way, way down. I imagine we may see some dining plans appearing next year as Disney attempts to get visitors back. Probably for the American market initially

I booked and secured it in April 2019. You need to be looking March/April the year before in NORMAL times.

There is speculation that free dining may be a thing of the past now... much depends upon Mr Covid and whether Disney need to offer incentives like this in the future.

Disney pulled the dining plans both free and paid for due to Covid and social distancing. They obviously couldn’t guarantee that people who had dining plan could actually eat in the restaurants. I’m hoping they’ll be back, free or paid for, once the situations stabilises.

Thanks, I'm hoping free dining will be offered again for 2022 in April 2021

Like you, I am praying that they offer it for 2022. God knows what we'll do otherwise!

I'm hoping that the halt in DDP is only temporary. That's what the rhetoric on the Disney website seems to suggest. It says they are 'temporarily unavailable'. If they had cancelled for good, I would expect to see 'no longer available' or something like that.

Fingers crossed!

I hope they will offer it too. If they don’t we will stay and eat offsite.

I’ve really looked at offsite but think we’d go to a value if there was no free dining.

if it doesn't come back free for 2022 I think we would stay in a value and buy it
