Hot tubs

We've had our inflatable one since March and love it, we use it 2/3 times a week. DH built a hot tub house so very private, we are considering buying a solid one next year. Would definitely test out inflatable one first see if you use it.

Thanks all for the advise. My partner has had a solid hot tub some years ago before I knew her. She said it got used alot even in the winter. Not got a problem getting a sparky in to run thick cable and pat's ticket.
Just found a local supplier I will call in on. Access to the rear garden is via a normal sized side gate, but other side of house is wooden fence that can come down if necessary. Tub would actually be sited the other side of that fence.
Found a local supplier now who I can go see. Will need to dry test a few as I'm 6ft 3" and wouldn't want to be shoulders out water on a cold night .
My step daughter and her dad had an inflatable one but made the mistake of throwing a ball for the dog. You can image the scene when the dog launched its self back to the tub. Big rush of water and 3 people sat in an empty tub. Lol
As for 13amp or 32amp. Sounds like 13amp the heater switches off while you have pumps running .

Good luck, most showrooms will offer you a lock in so you can try them properly, we found it quite over whelming as they all bombard you with information and contradict each other (plus so many of them will boast about the same USP as the last manufacturer you spoke to!), so do talk to people you know who have them, they were the most useful sources for us when navigating through all the info.

We have friends who had bought a Japanese make at an exhibition and now have issues sourcing parts if and when it needs anything, so yes, they saved thousands up front, but have had times when it's been out of action for weeks waiting for parts, whereas we've other friends who have had years worth of use out of theirs then part exchanged them for newer/better models, so worth the extra investment.

We pay a company for quarterly maintenance / water change and an annual service, these vary hugely also so worth looking into who provides what.

I actually disagree about having an inflatable one first, we just bought our solid one without, I know we wouldn't have used an inflatable one, yet use our solid one several times a week. In the few heatwaves we've had, we turn it down to 36 and it's just gorgeous, winter it's at 38.

Can I be cheeky? Do you have a picture of your hot tub house. We need something to go around our inflatable, but despite searching images I can't see anything that would work.

We have just bought inflatable one and used it constantly but know that will not be same all the time.
Neighbours bought one few years ago £4000 out Costco, never stepped into it last year or this year so far, wasting money heating and cleaning it, she is now saying she will sell it for £2000 soon.

We had an inflatable one and loved it so much we bought the real thing. Ours is a plug and play so no extra electric required, just an outside socket. It’s a Coast one made in Canada and we use it lots, we used it nearly every day in lockdown.
