Character dining for breakfast. Which one would you choose
I have researched all the character dinning offerings and have narrowed down our choices to:
1. Tusker House with Donald, Mickey, goofy and daisy. 2. Garden Grill - Chip and Dale 3. Ohana - Lilo and stitch Are any of these better than the other? which one do you prefer and why? We are travelling with our 10 year old son and I am leaning more towards Garden Grill with Chip and Dale as he says he's to old for Mickey Mouse As we are on the DDP I want to do a character dining that way we can tick it off the bucket list Food wise they all seem much the same or am I mistaking, can you give me an idea of what to expect at the buffet? Thank you so much. |

We love Garden Grill as we love Chip and Dale. You do also get Mickey and Pluto. The sticky cinnamon bun is amazing. It's just a nice experience- unusual as the restaurant rotates- it never feels crowded and if you choose an 8 am sitting you get to walk t brough an empty EPCOT which is cool 😎
This is me last time we did it.

Tusker House is our favourite character breakfast, it's a buffet where as the other 2 you've listed are family style (still all you can eat but they bring the food to the table and you can ask for refills on things) so have less choice than a buffet.
We haven't done Ohana but do really like the Garden Grill breakfast (mickey is still there!). If you do go for Garden Grill then try and get an early pre park opening slot (as long as it's not an EMH day) and you should be able to get on Soarin without much queue straight after

Can’t comment on Tusker house or Ohana but just been to Garden Grill and we really enjoyed it. We went for lunch. The food and drink is brought to your table. The restaurant rotates but you don’t really feel it moving. It feels s bit like private dining as you don’t see the other people. The interaction with the characters is fabulous.

Garden grill was our top pick. It's family style but they refill anything you need. We really loved it.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them (and Mickey’s at all 3!) so just go with the characters your son would prefer to meet. The food at character breakfasts tends to be very similar in that they all include traditional American items like pancakes, waffles, scrambled egg, breakfast potatoes, sausages, bacon, fruit, pastries, but there are variations based on the theme of the character breakfast you’re at, e.g. ‘Ohana includes Pineapple-coconut bread, Tusker House has some African options.
