Week 3 of the Summer Holidays - Has your teenager came out of their room

Seriously though, Do teenagers actually go out anymore?

We live in a rural area and his school is 25 minutes away, and most of his friends are dotted around the county. I always offer to take him but he's probably met friends twice so far.

Possibly a boy thing?

My youngest who is 10 would never leave his room if he didn’t have to. We are currently on holiday in Cornwall and he’s repeatedly asked when we are going home. My eldest is the complete opposite. He plays football 5 times a week and is always active.

My 12 year old has barely changed out of her PJ’s so far.

My 15 year old who confesses she doesn’t really like people has been making an effort to catch up with a couple of people she does like.

I was out all day when I was their age.

This would be unusual activity for my kids. Now if they could shift a paper round to the evening they might do it. Mornings are not a thing.

We're always saying it's a boy thing. Our teenage DS is exactly the same.

Yep! Twin 11 year olds pretty much been stuck in their rooms since the 21st July! So sad I was hardly in at their age! They just don’t care. Roll on the 12th Aug when we go to Florida, then they’ll have no choice but to leave their room 😆

My ds is 10 and the only time he's not in his room is if he's looking for food or if he's at football training. I can guarantee that when we are in Florida it will be getting him in from the pool that will be the troublethe
We fly on the 12th too xx
