Anyone out there still hopeful for their summer holiday?

We are due to fly out at the end of August and we are still quite hopeful this will happen. Anyone else out there still hopeful or are we being slightly naive?

We fly mid July and I have written it off. If we hadn’t paid in full for flights I’d have cancelled the Disney part by now. 18 months to a vaccine. It’s not going to go away without that.

We were due to fly out in May for my 50th and then to NY for my DD’s birthday in July. I know May will be cancelled and I believe July will be too. I don’t think things will get back to some kind of normal until later in the year ☹️.

I am thinking my sons wedding in Toronto probably won’t happen in September, can’t see us making it to a Germany in August for dds 18th either. I hope things improve I don’t even care about going away just want to be able to live a normal life again. 😪

Yes I agree just getting back to normality again will be a bonus.
I guess I'm trying to be more positive and optimistic but I am struggling when every time I turn on the news it's bad.

We were due to go end of July 2020 and this won’t be happening now. Looking to Aug 2021 now. It really concerns me looking at Trumps response to it - I have no faith he is taking it seriously enough.

We are meant to go beginning of July and I want to cancel-even if by some miracle it is all over by then I doubt I’d feel safe on my own with my youngest so far away from home.
Hoping virgin will refund flights and hoping RPR will refund hotel- disney and my 2 other hotels are deposit only.

I agree that Trump doesn't seem to be taking it seriously. I was just watching him say he hopes America will be back open by April and 2 minutes later they were reporting how it is wiping out New York. What is going on?

We are meant to go 14th of June there is more chance of winning the lottery 🤔 I definitely don’t think that will happen
