July / Aug 2021 DVC help
Hi.
Been that busy worrying about our holiday / cruise to Miami this summer (all cancelled now) I’m kind of out of touch with the current situation at WDW and DVC, can anyone give me a quick overview on tickets, park entry etc. We’ll book our home resort using 660 points (2020 banked and 2021 use) at the 11 month window, will we need to walk the booking day x day? We would be happy to stay at AKL, but would try and swap some (maybe?) at the 7 month window. What’s the current regulations about park entry. I know no hopping, fireworks, parades etc. Do I have to buy tickets (eg - 14 day) and then book park entry?

I wouldn't think you'd need to walk but if you want to 100% guarantee it then jump on now and just update your dates every 6 days until you get to the dates you need.
If you book 7 days from the 11 month window you will block anyone getting that room for the following 7 days. To make sure you keep it just log on 6 days later and change the start date to the 6th day. You don't need to do it day by day. When you get to the date you want you can add on just the same, just don't change the start date. |

To book the dates in park you need the tickets, if you buy 14 day tickets you can use these alone to reserve your park entries, you don't need a onsite booking to do this (as of today)

Park entry for next July/August is likely to be different from the opening restrictions now. Temperature checks and requirement for all to wear facemasks when not eating or drinking.

I didn’t know that about blocking out.
We won’t be going till UK school holidays, she we’ll start booking mid august. How far ahead can you book park entry?

If you have a 14day park ticket you can book up to 14 days up to 27th September 2021.

are you saying that you still think there will be a requirement to wear a face mask August 2021?

Spending just short of £1500 for 3 adult tickets is a lot of money to splash out 12 months in advance to book park entry, especially when we don’t have flights and accommodation booked.
