DVSA - booking a driving test

We have been trying to book a driving test since 8.30 this morning, I have reached Step 2 several times and it keeps kicking me out.

Surely they should have anticipated the numbers trying to book test and implemented a queuing system, but no they haven’t

We can't even get my daughter provisional licence, no matter how quick we fill it in online when we pay it says "your session has timed out because it has been longer than 20 minutes" we actually timed it and completed one in 7mins 34 secs!

If you wait until next week it will be back to normal.

For those applying for a provisional this will make little real difference.

Obviously for those looking to book tests it might mean choice is very limited for bookings

my DD tried all day, got through to choosing a date, then got kicked off, she they later got through and our local one had ZERO dates through to DEC

I think they have only released dates until 2 Oct. They are releasing in batches - next batch on Monday

My son is going away to university - he's been test ready for months. Don't know if he's going to get a test or whether to try and find a new instructor once he's settled at uni.
