Are they more interested in seducing existing customers than recruiting new ones?
It is more expensive as you are paying for the new equipment. At some point everyone will have been on a new contract price that will have included the cost of the box.

Thanks for clarifying Duchy.
It did take quite a while & the agent was trying all kinds of combinations & eventually came up with the one I agreed to, I did though have to pay a £10 setup but thought overall it was a good deal so was happy to pay it - shame it didn’t go directly to the agent...
Cheers

I really need to sort our bill out - been paying about £140 a month for far too long - we have sports, movies, multiroom, broadband, HD, Sky Q etc - are we better off waiting for Black Friday or should i just use the chat tomorrow?

Also been paying to much for long enough.

Was £95 a month 😬 and now it’s £47.50 for exactly the same, had to commit to another 18 months and pay a £10 admin fee.

£600 a year saving in a 15 min phone call!

I had a good chat a couple of weeks ago as cancelling at one address (later this year ) and starting at another immediately - they proactively offered me a good deal and after a Decent chat (I had done my homework and seen what else was around my location and the prices) I managed to get not a good deal but an excellent one - an upgraded service on both broadband and sky to Sky Q and paying 320 a on the less. I was ready to go to Virgin if they couldn’t work with me but they rang me and we did a deal

Depends on which other services you have, if you have HD then yes.

I am in a similar boat but I will hold off a little while longer as Duchy suggests.

I also said last year I was going to do a channel audit and never did, so now might be the time to do that too.
