I tried to but couldn't stick to it. I missed fruit too much!

I now do Slimming World which is the only one I can stick to that doesn't make me feel like I'm severely restricting what I can eat.

Thank you - it does seem that carbs is the Antidote to diabetes as opposed to Just cutting out calories or fat

I tried it, and was all good unless, you start cheating, odd few chips, or crisps, etc, and then because you are not in ketosis, but are also eating lots of fat, I actually gained pounds! Is fantastic but only if you are a strict mindset, which apprently it turns out I am not.

I agree ... fruit was a sacrifice. I saw recently a demo of how much a banana lifts blood sugars, which helped me understand.

Ive done it on and off for the last 2 years and have lost 4 stone, I don't really eat the high fat now as I don't get hungry and the fat is to keep you full, I have under 20g of carb a day and make sure I get my protein. I have berries every night with a little bit of double cream If you really are missing milk try having the lactose free milk There are lots of really helpful groups on facebook with some great recipes, Im a member of keto recipes uk which has been very helpful. Im also on the keto runners uk group.

Thank you - We only have milk in scrambled eggs and coffee so not much really

That's great that you've stuck to it and brilliant weight loss.

Oooh it’s a cardinal sin to add milk to scrambled eggs... just butter, salt and pepper and, ideally chopped chives. 😀😀😀

My brother does it, he lost 25kg at the beginning of the year and has really felt better since doing it. He has 20g carbs or less. He tends to do 8 weeks on then has a little break and then carries on- I think basically he misses pizza otherwise! You seem to need good self control but it is effective if done correctly.
