Travel Day - Virgin V-room
We arrived at the V-room at 7:05am and patiently awaited its opening. There was a queue and it was a bit busier than usual but we still managed to get our favourite seat by the window. We both got a V-room breakfast which is the usual toast, bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, tomato and beans, it was very nice but with us both having excited tummy’s we didn’t get anything else, instead just kicked back and relaxed, I’d still recommend the V-room at Manchester Airport as its a great way to start the holiday. Travel Day - Virgin Plane Food
Plane food was the usual standard stuff, Dan didn’t eat as he doesn’t like plane food. To start off it was mini pretzel time ECAD2A75-598E-41F5-B58A-D98D0E47DD6A by MARIA PASS, on Flickr For lunch I got the Toulouse sausage and mash, which came with mash and broccoli - this was quite salty but had an ok flavour. The Gu pud was a little curdled. Your plane food was exactly the same as ours. Those crisps were just downright weird. And I wish they would bring back the Fab lollies, I don't like those Twisters

Travel Day - NBC Grill - Citywalk
First of all thank you for the comments, I promise i’ll answer you all at some point. We’re having an amazing time. Once we had checked into the hotel last night we caught the water taxi to Citywalk and went into Universal Studios for a couple of hours by about 7pm we were ready to head over to NBC, this is another favourite restaurant of ours. We were pretty tired when we went for our meal so purchased more for substinance rather than pleasure but the food was awesome as always. It was very quiet and we were seated straight away. Here’s the menu 63B3D557-B10D-4CA3-BCC4-A3610C35C6D6 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr CEEE963B-2FB2-4D4B-A6DB-AE3764DFBAE1 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr We both went for the brisket entree which was amazing as usual, the brisket looks a little dry on my photo but I assure you it was lovely, it comes with a delicious BBQ sauce, cornbread and fries, We also ordered a side of Mac n cheese. We only had soft drinks as were were tired. Total came to $53 + tip, We’d give it a solid 7/10 |

Looking forward to following along, have to agree about the Thyme restaurant we were a little disappointed with the one at Gatwick.

Day 1 - Starbucks
We love Starbucks in the UK and always pop in for breakfast when we’re over here. I ordered a Choc mint Frappe with a sausage and cheese classic 5FF177BB-5343-4606-B973-D63FFECF8E1B by MARIA PASS, on Flickr 286E63E3-BA29-4C8C-AB71-47FA0ECD5E13 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr Dan went for a Gouda, ham and egg sandwich with a latte.
