Really depends what you mean by Luxurious?
When the kids were younger we would book everything separate, flights, hotels etc as always worked out cheaper, but now we are older and only paying for 2 instead of 5 we will spend whatever it costs to get where we want and don't really think too much of the price but still like a bargain 😂 It's like anything in life if you can afford it and are happy to pay the price then go ahead.

Indeed, my term 'only' was in ref to the poster who does multiple. But yes that's it the term luxury is deemed different by many.

So how about another option - I can’t afford to go frequently or stay in luxury accommodation but just count myself lucky to be there at all!

I’d say we go neither frequently nor luxurious. But we go more often than some by going on a budget.

I’m not sure which box I would tick to be honest as I consider Florida to be a luxury holiday and we go every year and the last few years twice a year but we don’t do it all singing all dancing and some times we don’t do any parks and make good use of lots of coupons and discounts which allows us to visit every year! So luxury on a budget ! Ha! Ha! But that’s the way we like it xxx

I'd say this is probably me too, on all my holiday choices. I always have a budget. I personally have no interest in camping or caravaning, those don't constitute a holiday for me so when I'm talking holiday generally i'm talking a trip which involves a flight and a hotel/apartment.

An interesting question. I’d say we fall somewhere in the middle. Have had two Florida holidays and feel lucky to have had those experiences. We fly economy and indirect (stuck with school holidays so happy to do that), hire mid size cars, have stayed in a mix of on and off-site, budget and more fancy options. We always eat in mid-price places or cheaper and will buy water and snacks at the supermarket to save some money.
I would love to visit every year but that isn’t possible. We save and plan and look forward to the next time. I don’t regret any of our choices. We’ve had a ball! We are all different so will, obviously, holiday in different ways. |

We go to Florida every 3 years as that is the time it takes us to save up the amount we need to pay for what we want. We do it extra special though. Our last time we went upper out and back, 14 nights in a 1 bedroom in okw, 1 night in hard rock, 10 day suv hire and tickets to universal and Disney. This all cost as much as a new car but we enjoyed it.

I won’t go anywhere that’s worse than home, if the hotel/apartment/villa is a dump what’s the point. I would go less and stay somewhere nice that’s anywhere not just Florida. We went to a party in Bristol and my aunt booked us into a b&b it was awful. I couldn’t sleep all night, couldn’t wait to get dressed and leave!
