CRT on the DDP

Hi,
not been for a few years...was looking to book CRT for me and our youngest, but when ADR day came along and I tried to book it it said that I had to pay by credit card in advance? I thought the only took CC deetails to guarantee the reservation, or am I missing something?

If you don’t have a dining plan you will need to pay for CRT in advance.

The post says it’s about CRT on the DDP, so I assume the OP has the dining plan.

Waterbaby, this thread might help:

Thanks, that was very helpful! I get the option to reserve with DDP but apparently have to phone up to do it now, so will do that tomorrow!

Interesting that you have to phone up, I too was a bit shocked, but there was an option to reserve under the DDP

Isn't the Credit Card for a holding the reservation only, i believe they take the Credits from your Dining plan at the end of the meal?

You now have to phone up to use a credit card as guarantee, or pre-pay fully. As we're on the DxDDP I obviously didn't want to pay so phoned up, gave my details and it's been reserved with CC details.

So when you try to reserve CRT you get two options, 1 to phone up and reserve with the dining plan or 2 pay in full with a credit card.

Are you able to call at 11am, same as when booking online? Or is there a way to temporarily hold your preferred time online, then you just call to say that you’ll be paying for it with dining credits? (We already had our credit card linked as guarantee of payment, but it sounds like that rule has been changed?)

DH is trying to tell me that we should book online and pay in full with the credit card (just to hold that reservation time for ourselves) then call and ask them to cancel the ADR, refund the credit card, and immediately rebook the now available time using our DDP credits. That sounds like a huge faff to me, and I’d much rather just call to sort it in the first place (especially since DH refuses to go near the phone and needs me be the one who has to follow through his crazy plan.)
