how can I send a big file by email?
Hi, I want to email our wedding pictures to our family abroad who could not make it so there are about 350 pictures. I have tried attaching them to an email but it says the file is to big. How can I send these?

Get a free dropbox account (dropbox.com) - you can upload them all to a (private) album there, and then e-mail the link to whoever you want. That's what I use to send large files.
Hope this helps!

Depending on the size I use a website called mailbigfile, the allow you up to 2gb to use for free I think, other other option is some thing like drop box, which you can share a folder with them.
hope that helps

Dropbox / Skydrive / Photobucket.
Forget about emailing them - chances are their mail provider will reject the file as being too big even if you manage to send it. |

You could always edit the selection down to a reasonable size - with 350 pics there must be a lot of repetition.

If they just want to view the photos, resize them first - they would only need the full size files if they were getting them printed. There are lot's programmes free - this is the Microsoft one. For viewing on a PC/TV you only really need about 72 dpi resolution. Once resized, just select all the photos - right click, send to zip file then send the zip file. You may still need to split into maybe 5 batches.
If they want to print some, then they can choose and you can send the big files individually or put them on drop box. Alternatively burn them to a dvd and post the dvd, or use a pen drive.
