Manchester to Orlando Via Paris

Hi all,

Has anyone done the Manchester to Orlando via Paris route?
It's self connection but a 5 hour lay over so no real issue with missing it.

Just wondered if anyone had experience of it as it's quite a long journey.

Thanks.

We generally avoid CDG due to a bad experience a few years back and generally poor attitude by Air France personnel.

Not sure what you mean by "Self Connection" ? If both flights are not booked on the same booking (even with a 5 hour layover) I would be very nervous as the Air France people could not have cared less when we missed our connection !

It’s two separate bookings so we have to re-check in with Norwegian at CDG. Would be flying from Manchester with Flybe

That's good news as you will be avoiding Air France !

Just hope you don't have any major delays with Flybe !

We are doing similar but flying to Paris the day before and flying back from Paris on the day after our return.

I wasn't comfortable with the risk otherwise.

Even adding on 2 Paris hotels it was still cheaper than any flight from the UK and we are flying BA via LHR ... crazy.

Even with a five hour gap I wouldn’t risk it. I’ve had too many Flybe flights cancelled in the past.

Plus CDG is literally the most awful airport to transit through.

If they’re not booked as a through ticket then personally I wouldn’t risk it. 5 hours is fine now but nothing to stop either airline altering their flight times making one of the flights unusable

We have just changed our flights. We were flying though paris to Miami from Manchester and were nervous about it. We are now going direct from Heathrow to Miami and making our own way down to Heathrow on the train. Glad we made that decision after reading the comments above.

Wise move, will definitely be less stressful.
