You don't need to tell them the medical condition, but they do need to know how it effects the person. Ie, they can't stand for long periods, they get anxious in confined spaces, they may need to nip out to the bathroom in a hurry, they get anxious with sensory stimulation, etc.
We've never had an issue for my DD. But it is important to ask, rather than demand. We overheard a guest saying he was there to get his DAS and could they crack-on as he was in a hurry. His whole mannerism was rude and entitled. Not sure if he got it as was taken into another room. We, however, politely asked, and the CM was lovely with DD who was clearly self conscious. Couldn't have made it easier, or less awkward for DD. |
