We arrived on sat 24th - managed to get 1 of the 3 remaining Nissan Rogues all that was left was a Hyundai Tucson and a Mazda C5.
Very pleased with the Nissan, very comfortable, lucky to get a 2019 with only 16000 miles on the clock

Last 2 trips when we booked intermediates we chose the Rogue (X-Trail).

One bonus for those with space concerns is that the back seats can be moved forwards to give even more room in the boot, just moving it 2 notches meant I could slot a large hold-all on top of suitcases as it was originally just catching the rear screen. We had 3 large cases, 1 large hold-all, 4 hand luggage with 2 adults and 2 children, so plenty of room

Sounds like a Rogue might be the way to go then! Especially for the space, I was worried that they might not fit in 3 large suitcases.
Thank you for the information.

I always go for an American car, but have a look inside and see what you like - they are all unlocked.

We booked a full size car with Alamo through Andy and the Tucson was the only car from the options that we could squeeze our 4 cases, hand luggage and double buggy into. Decent sized boot and was nice enough to drive. We are going again in June 2020 and have booked the same full size option... I have the fear that there won't be a car with enough room for out things this time... is it usual for a Tucson to be in the Full-size row?

We have had Alamo both times on this trip.

Boston - they were struggling with cars and gave us a Jeep Compass it had 3000 on the clock and was a great car although seemed to have a small tank
MCO - we had pick of the row and they all had 15000+ on the clock. We picked a Kia Sportage which is doing the job but doesn't seem to be a very high spec car.

We picked ours up last week from the DCCC and it was a Nissan Rogue was brand new with only 3 miles on the clock. Pretty nippy too getting between 15 and 23 to the gallon depending on how heavy my right foot is.
