Anyone watched this? Just finished season 1 and about to start season 2. People have said it is "slow".. they have obviously not watched Designated Survivor then which I had to endure as boyfriend was insistent that we watched it - it was sooo drawn out and I am not into politics either.

But Ozark I quite like and not found it boring at all. I asked boyfriend to watch the first episode and thought he'd love it as he liked Breaking Bad. Nope - "can't understand what they're saying". He refuses to watch now so watching alone.

Just finished watching the 1st series and we’ve gone straight onto the 2nd - we love it (not quite as much as Breaking Bad but not far off!)

Another fan here! Loved Laura Linney anyway but Jason Bateman is a revelation, brilliant cast, writing and I love the setting too. Can’t wait to see the third season 😁

Love Ozark; looking forward to season 3.
" Mom, why are we leaving home?"
"Because, your dad stole money from a Mexican drug cartel, they found out and we need to leave NOW!"

Ozark S1 & 2 were filmed in Georgia due to tax breaks given to studios filming there; countless other shows do the same for that reason.
I saw earlier in the year that Jason Bateman said he would no longer work in the state of Georgia due to bills they passed this year; I believe they've therefore moved location.
Many other celebs have pledged the same; Netflix have also said the same.

Ozark was brilliant - both series were really good.

A bit of a slow burner, but the tension ramps up each episode.

I like a slow burner anyway. Better Call Saul is the perfect example of that!
