We hired a standard SUV and upgraded to the premium when we got there - We got a Maserati Levante. It was amazing, we all loved it.

The car had to be brought around for us - it wasn't kept in the normal lines so I am not sure you can skip the counter.

To be honest they asked us if we wanted a Maserati and we said yes straight away, I am sure they would have been other options though.

The Premium Elite SUVs tend to be in the Luxury Saloon line. That's where I have seen an X3 etc.

You can skip the counter no matter what class of vehicle you have booked.

I have seen a Range Rover sport on someone's post before. I did ask on here once but can't remember which class it would come under. I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea and when it comes to moving on from my current 535 m sport I will probably stick with a X5 but would be nice to have a two week test drive to get it out the system.
I'm also interested in how much you paid out there for the upgrade at the garage and did you haggle much for the final price.

I had an Audi Q7 in this category although technically along with X5 it is Luxury elite as one size above the "X3 or similar".

Seems a wide group of cars are possible so be prepared you might only get an X3 sized vehicle.

Thanks for the Info. I take it that was the rate they told you but then from past threads on here did they then add tax and other local airport fees etc or did it stay at $26. Did they offer any others in that class? Just wondering what else was there.
