Gatwick restaurants before security

We are staying at the Gatwick Hilton the night before our flight, their restaurant looks a bit expensive, any restaurants at the airport you recommend (obviously before security). Ps we won’t have access to a car.

Are you willing to get a cab? There are some fab pubs in the Horley area such as the Black Horse (8 mins from your hotel) and the Fox Revived (11 mins from your hotel). There's an Indian called Jai Ho (11 mins) that's great too. If you wanted to go into Crawley there are all the normal chains.

Always go to Giraffe before our flight. Landside restaurants arent much to write about, but the food and service is always a positive experience

WE had the Hilton buffet this year, and it does seem a bit pricey, but its really nice and well worth the money. If you factor in a cab somewhere else, it could work out cheaper to stay at the HIlton eateries.

There’s also a Wetherspoons (I think it’s called The Beehive)- which is quite reasonable, but it does get busy at times.

I go to Giraffe in the South Terminal but if you go onto the Gatwick Airport website you'll find details of all restaurants including menus. I find it really useful

I am thinking of going to Giraffe the night before this time, menu looks nice.

We have gone to giraffe a few times, always had a nice meal there. We went to the weatherspoons afterwards for a drink which was busy but the later it got (was still only around 9pm) it got quieter.

We're going to TGis before we get to the terminal! Nom
