Mobile Is it likely there will always be free Disney dining?

We’ve been back less than three weeks and are desperate to go back again!
I’d love to say 2021 but realistically to save would be better to go 2022. I’d be gutted if for any reason they stopped offering the free Disney dining as it made staying onsite so much more worth while.
It’s so expensive to go as we have to go summer holidays that having that (which realistically probably isn’t free!) made it seem really worthwhile. The cost of the food when we were there was shocking 😳

I think it's unlikely there will always be free dining.

However, I think it's probably likely there will be free dining for the next 3 years or so. The offer may become more limited in terms of which resorts or room types it covers or which dates it's applicable for. But I think we'll see free dining exist for a while yet because it's a successful marketing ploy that gets lots of people to book. I can't see why it would go away anytime soon.

Disclaimer: this is all a guess and I can't predict the future. Please don't base future plans on this guess.

Thanks Nimbus and don’t worry I won’t hold you to it if they stop doing it 🤣
Suppose it’s just going to be that risk of if we wait then it won’t be available 😭
When I price up for the same dates as this year for 2020 it’s already coming out dearer than we paid so doubt we would be able to justify paying to stay onsite without the free dining plan 😒

Do you think they will need to offer it in anniversary year 2021 with so much happening and the inevitable hype?

Thats why its 2020 for me, on site with qsdp.

One things for sure, they wont need to offer free dining to encourage people to stay in the Star Wars Hotel. It will initially sell out many times over with all the fans in the world and the continuing film trillogy.

Unfortunately for us we go October half term next year. No ddp offered. Let’s hope they don’t touch the summer holidays. Fingers crossed

We're all hooked on free dining now. I think it'll be a long time before they make us go cold mouse!

I don’t think there will always be free dining. It is more restricted for next year than it has been before and if it does continue, I expect there to be more restrictions on which resorts, selected dates, etc.

It's more restricted next year than it has been and I think it will eventually be phased out. Not all in one fell hit, just gradually over the next few years.
