We did rope drop and 1 min to closing in October on the same day and closing was virtually walk on.

Hi - we did this twice last year, so I'll give you my experience.

Aim to get to the park 45-60 minutes before rope drop. They start letting you in about 30 minutes before opening time, but move you about 200 yards a time slowly through the park towards Pandora. It's a great chance to have a quick breakfast on the go (muffins were our choice!) and get the suncream on. On both occasions we were off the ride within 60 minutes of getting to Animal Kingdom front gates, we could walk straight onto Navi River Journey and as we walked back towards the centre of the park, the queues were 180 minutes for FOP.

We couldn't get a FP for this ride prior to us arriving this year... we did however check on the day when over there and found at just after 12 and just after 3pm some FP became available... so keep checking

We got on FOP 3 times and also on Slinky by nabbing FPs on the day whilst checking the app at those times... good luck

My youngest DS and his GF rode this yesterday (DH, myself and eldest DS couldn’t be bothered queuing). The started queuing when it said 135 min wait and they ended up being 4 hours as it began running at half capacity. Initially, when they’d queued for 45 mins, they were toldthat there was another 45 mins to wait so after their initial buzz at it being an hour and a half instead of 2 1/4 hrs, they were not happy. GF (1st time in Orlando) was absolutely blown away by it and thought it was worth the Wait!

We did it monday. We only artived at opening of emh, rather than walked. We were two and a half. Getting there a bit before park opening definitely helps cut it.

Oh my lord! I would be raging if it said 135mins but ended up taking 240mins! I would’ve been complaining to guest relations to try for a FP I think!

We got there for park opening last August around 8am waited around 45 mins. Went back one evening around 1hour before park closing and basically walked straight on.
