I'd head straight for the bus tour, come back in via the Atlantis exhibit and then the rest of the site.

Myself and my lad are going in August. Haven't been to KSC since we watched the launch of STS-120. That was a truly amazing day.
I'm looking forward to the trip. Now need to work out how to plan the day. |

I would say leave the lunch with an astronaut for a return visit. We barely had time to see everything and had to rush dinner and miss some things. You'll find you'll end up either missing a lot of things or rushing a really interesting dinner.
