Parking at Disney/Universal
Hello
We are visiting Florida in just under 2 weeks. While its our 4th time out there, a lot seems to have changed since our last visit. We have a hire car but as we plan to visit both Universal and disney on the same day (we are on a tight schedule) I wondered if anyone had any experience of using Ubers or the I-Ride trolley. I really don't want to be spending $50 on parking by being penalised for visiting 2 parks! Any tips would be great! Thank you |

Uber’s are really easy and good value. Download the app and book when you need them. Certainly recommend as an easy way to get around and so much cheaper than the parking costs

It depends where you stay at.
uber will be by far the most efficient and fast way to hop from uni to wdw Iride will only go as far as international drive, then you'd need a Lynx (50) to WDW That would take you up to 2hrs each way to go between universal citywalk to any disney park with uber you'll be there in 15 to 20 but I'll also tell you that, having a hire car means you'll be paying a lot, for a car that'll be sitting in your villa driveway for nothing on your park days using uber for the 2 resorts will cost you 3 separate rides. all in all, will the saving be that important for just that day ? you also need to consider where you'll eat or if you need to do something after the parks (shopping stop for example, offsite eating, and so on) using uber means back at the villa (or wherever you stay at) then out again with the car you just need to work out the costs vs. the time and your plans. but, if you want the fastest, and easiest way, while avoiding parking charges, do Uber you could also drive to universal, pay for parking there, then drive to disney springs (free to park) take a bus to, say Contemporary Resort, walk to MK (if that's where you're heading for example) and same thing after the parks parking at universal ($26) vs. ubering villa to uni, uni to wdw, wdw to villa ... not sure you'll save anything the other constraint is time. |
