We've been known to walk across to the Crowne Plaza and go to Callaghans's Irish Pub when staying at the Radisson.

Didn't do it last year, but previously has been a good option.

we stayed at the Radisson in May and got the train into Manchester- takes about 25 minutes and there are so many great restaurants and bars in the City

Romper pub every time, and it takes Tesco vouchers if you collect them!

I’d like to know this too, the only place we could find last year pre security was Cafe Nero so we were planning an M&S picnic this time, but if things easy to get to from the Raddison we may try it!

Get the train rather than the tram if you go into Manchester, much quicker!
Loads of better options on Manchester.
Otherwise, taxi to The Airport Hotel or Romper won't cost much.
Might not bother with Trafford Centre unless you want to shop. Food is ok there but I wouldn't go specifically for food.

Joe’s is in T1 arrivals - it is very nice in there.

The Crowne Plaza also has an amazing Thai restaurant which I tend to eat it.

San Carlo at Manchester Airport Marriott. Short cab ride. It’s a great restaurant if you like Italian food.
