To buy or not to buy?
Just seen that the $$'s gone up a bit today so did a bit of googling, it appears that they think it will recover by the end of the year but due to changing pm's will probably drop again. I go 10 weeks today so what do I do
 I may get half of my cash today, £500, and see what happens?

Ignore googling. Ignore others advise. Ignore predictions. Just buy when you feel happy.
I think the last 3 years of predictions goes to prove that predictions are worthless. (Trump, Brexit just to name 2). The Dollar is currently lower than the start of the day, and most changes are so small that it really wont have much affect to your spending money. We use zero credit cards so get best rates which helps a little. £500 @ 1.22 is $610 £500 @ 1.30 is $650 (increased) £500 @ 1.15 is $575 (decreased) As you see for £500 not really worth stressing about when you have already spend thousands.

Im getting £1000 total so just think i'll get half today and see how it goes. Not a huge difference in the amount but even $50 would pay for something in the parks.

I just bought some today £982 for $1200 not sure if it was the best rate (1.22 something) but now I don't have to keep checking. The best rate I have seen was John Lewis but I bought mine in TC shop for convenience

Got them - £1.236 in Tui as well as £5 off as changed over £500, so £800 got me $990. Went in tesco after and it was £1.19!

Just got $1.25 on my revolut card so exchanged £500 and will see over the next few days how it goes before changing another £500!
