Best queues?

Hi all, I am wondering which rides at Disney and Universal you should try and experience the main queue for? Which rides have amazing queue experiences or good entertainment?

We have EP for 2 days at universal but will be there on at least one other day earlier in the trip. I want to make sure we go for those with the best queues on that first day.

Likewise, any disney rides that are worth queuing for if it’s our first time on them? We have been to Disney before, but I can’t remember other than soft play at dumbo. Thanks all!

Hi,

Our favourite queues are Kong, and all the Harry Potter rides at Universal and FOP at Animal Kingdom.

For us, both Harry Potter rides at Universal & strangely, 7 dwarfs mine train at MK.

Definitely the Harry Potter rides - in fact, for me the line is the best part of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey - not that keen on the ride to be honest.

The first time we went to Hollywood Studios and went on Star Tours, I was upset it was a walk on! For a star wars fan, that queue is great

My son has a DAS which means we always use the fast pass line. From that point of view the queues I would love to see are the Harry Potter ones and FOP. He always looks from a distance at the Navi in FOP and wishes he could see it up close. So this time his only request for the holiday was to do the main queue. I will go armed with things for him to do and hope that we can do it at rope drop in under 30 minutes.

Definitely all the Harry Potter ones.

In Disney World i know that Peter Pan has an interactive main queue which you skip if you fast pass. I’ve never done it cos I resent waiting 75 mins+ for that ride.

Then there’s FOP of course.

There’s no other rides I can think of though in WDW where the queue experience differs if you fast pass? Toy Story mania perhaps cos you don’t get to see talking Mr Potato Head?

Most of the FP lines run pretty adjacent to the main queue. And if, like in star tours, you do want to stop to look and not walk ‘straight on’ there’s no harm in letting the people behind you go ahead of you.

Thanks all for your help. I’m the same - can’t bring myself to queue for Peter Pan!
