Berlin In November
Has anyone been to Berlin in November? I was wondering what the weather was like? Was it scarf & gloves cold?

I've been a couple of times in Dec for Xmas markets and it was a bit colder than UK but broadly similar, so I would say that Nov will be similar to UK... So, probably scarf and gloves...

And a hat and warm coat! It could be quite cold by then.

It depends really, we went two years ago the beginning of November & it was lovely
But I've been before & its been freezing , layering is the key as we usually walk a lot so that builds up a sweat ! If you are looking for a quick bite to eat the bakery near checkpoint Charlie is part of a chain & its fab & cheap as chips ( its the one with the seats outside and a red canopy)it sells coffee and hot chocolate if you get cold. |

It was freezing when we went at the end of November last year - it snowed! . Warm up with plenty of glühwein

My BIL lives there - has for 16 years. Like others have said, it really does vary (bit like here). We speak fairly regularly so he updates us on his weather ! It could be freezing - so definitely take hat/gloves etc, and layers, I think are the key.
Enjoy it - to my shame, I've only been once since he's lived there. My DD1 has been with the grandparents, but we've never been since the children were born. We really should have a trip out but you can no longer fly from our local airport so it makes it a bit more difficult to get there. I'd love to go for the Christmas markets but we are tied to school holidays sadly! Edited at 09:22 PM. |

I am wrapping up warm! Expecting it to be freezing - we are booked for the start of the Christmas markets.
