holidays in January.

I was wondering whats cyprus or Canary Islands like in January? My hubby text me from work the other day to say he had booked 2 weeks off mid januay and would like somewhere warm. We can't afford anywhere to expensive. It will be our first beach holiday away without the children who are adults now. Any ideas or info would be much appreciated.

Never been to Cyprus so don't know about there but we've been to The Canaries a lot in the winter months and it's usually pretty good.

The worst weather we had was over the new year period about 12 years ago, we only had 2 decent days out of a week but others informed us it was usually much warmer.

We went to Cuba last January and it was about £900 each for all inclusive, the hotel was very basic but clean and the staff were lovely, the weather was fantastic in fact at times I found it too hot

My mum has just booked a royal Carribean cruise from Dubai including flights. 8 or 9 days for £800 in a suite, cheaper in an inside or window cabin.
Ive also just seen same cruise advertised for December 12 for £589 for an inside cabin!
Wish I could get the time off!

Thanks for replying. we were looking at cuba last night, not bad prices. Is there much to do in cuba? How longs the flight? Is it cheap there? Sorry for the questions, the furthest i have been is orlando.
