Villa booking - majorca
We have a hotel booked in Sa Coma on 31st July but it looks like they will not be opening and are offering us a stay in a different location.
We need to be in Sa Coma as other family groups are staying there so I'm now trying to find alternative accommodation. Has anyone booked a villa in Majorca? I don't know where to start. Do I just use Trip Adviser? |

I haven’t used them but villa plus seem good - on general trip planning there have been some people who have used them or James villas . They won’t be cheap though -well compared to orlando ones .

More questions...
I've found a villa via Home Away. Never booked a villa before. If we're arriving about midnight will this be acceptable? If we're flying home in the evening do I book an extra day? Are Home away ok? Any negatives I need to know? Any hidden costs I need to ask about? My hotel still isn't cancelled but they are also not open yet so thinking about booking a villa as aback up assuming I can cancel 🤔 |

We always use Homeaway for villa bookings, have one booked for Spain next month.
Just check terms and conditions / villa small print just Incase as some add costs on for pool heat ,air con etc.. |

Weve used HomeAway and they are fine.
It shouldnt be a problem arriving at that time. The owner will have a plan in place for arrivals at any time. I would book an extra day for your departure day so you can relax as long as you want.

Homeaway is part of Vrbo, owned by Expedia, so is as solid as Expedia (to the extent any business is solid anymore). I've used Homeaway a few times for villas (in the US), without problem.
Might be a bit more expensive than other channels (though was cheaper than Airbnb when I used it), but offers a payment protection guarantee when paying via Homeaway, which gives a bit of peace of mind when dealing with villas. Obviously you need to check the T&Cs for the property concerned, since they do vary. |

I love Sa Coma - what a shame about the hotel. My daughter went to Puerto Pollensa last September with her friends and they booked a villa through Villa Plus. We’ve only ever booked with them in the Algarve but can vouch for their properties and their customer service. I’ve booked apartments in Majorca with Clickstay and been very happy with our accommodation and communication.
