1 1/2 days in Orlando
Big trip for us next year we are flying on 5 flights and visiting Boston and going on a cruise from Orlando for my wife's BIG birthday.
I have arranged for us to arrive in Orlando Friday afternoon and the ship (Harmony of the Seas ) leaves Port Canaveral on the Sunday. We have visited Disney and universal multiple times and I don't want to pay over the odds for a one day ticket so what would you recommend. We also have a day in Orlando at the end of our trip as the plane home is the following lunchtime so again looking for Orlando ideas. We definitely plan on visiting Premium outlets as my son is Zumiez crazy and wants to order trainers online to be picked up in the Nike store. Also has anyone else done the cruise from that port and can recommend a taxi service or can i just hire a car and drop it at the port? Thanks already to everyone for all your help John

The big companies do not apply an extra charge for dropping a hire car off at a different place within Florida.

St Augustine is an interesting place and if you use the HO HO trolley you will see most of it - the St Augustine Distillery and the chocolate factory are interesting 😏.

Perhaps consider spending the day along I-Drive? Premium Outlets are at the north and south ends and in between are plenty of smaller attractions such as Ripley's, WonderWorks, Titanic, The Eye, SeaLife, Madam Tussauds etc. Plus LOADS of great mid-range and upscale dining options. Careful with the car rental...while there is usually no extra charge to drop off at a different major airport, sometimes there could be extra fees when dropping off at a local/non airport location.

We had a 1 day car hire with Avis this year to get us from MCO to our hotel then on to Disney as were off site for our first night, when booking there was only the option to return the car to the original rental location so phoned to ask if we could return it to the Hilton by Disney Springs and they confirmed we could and there was no charge.

We did a week car hire from the airport dropping off at port canavral and then once off ship we hired one for the day...£33...and picked up at PC dropped off st MCO. Way cheaper and gave us great flexibility to do what we wanted when we wanted.
Have you considered discovery cove for the day? |
