2021 without free DDP
Anyone know when’s the best time to book for dates not covered by free dining? Are there other offers for excluded dates?
Hoping for nov 21 and eager to book but the prices are astronomical!

If you’re not after ddp have you thought about renting dvc points?
We’re doing that this year and it’s much more affordable for the resorts we wanted. Also when prices are first released they’ll be full rack rate, once the free ddp is finished there are normally room discounts available. |

I don’t really understand renting dvc sounds complicated!
I did recall the free nights offer starting after free fine but don’t want to have to wait until November to book. Am I right that there was a 10% discount on dates not covered by free dine when the offer came out last year? Wishful thinking perhaps?

There was a 10% discount when free dining was released. The free nights offer is on at the moment for Nov this year might gave you an idea on price. We are looking at next Nov as loved going in November but are going to have to wait before booking until at least September.

We had 600 DVC Points for years... On here, it is very easy to "rent them out," and as such equally easy to "rent them."
Have a look at relevant Forums. |

I would still wait until April before doing anything. There is no way to know what Disney will offer until nearer the time and offers are becoming less predictable each year. I never would have predicted free dining ending for bookings after 3rd October for this year but that’s what they did. Other years there’s been an assumption of no free dining but what actually happened was the addition of the free breakfasts. My standing recommendation is that unless you get a package deal that would offset any benefit of free dining I would wait until April.

I am going in December 2020 which I booked during last years free dining booking period, knowing I wouldn’t be eligible. Afterwards I was kicking myself as I thought I should have waited until free dining offer had finished and free nights was on.
Turns out, I got the room cheaper when I did book than I could get it now during free nights. So, I think you might s well wait until April just to ensure free dining will not be available. But after that I would book any time you see a price you like. |

The 10% discount for room not eligible for Free DDP... was it on the whole booking or just room?
