I think that as we are only looking at just within the 330 days that Virgin are still holding back and haven't fully released all fare buckets. I suspect the PE seats already occupied are from transfers from passengers unable to travel on their original ticket. You mention your return which I assume is GLA-MCO is 24th so they haven't been released yet so too early to tell.
That’s really helpful, thanks. We’re waiting for reward seats on the 24th and our parents will be booking cash so it worried me when the 17th wasn’t showing available.

All fare buckets available for sale.

Hi, can you check vs72 mco to gla on the 24th September? It’s been suggested to me by VA staff that PE is almost full but the seat map doesn’t reflect that. Thanks.

Of course, no problem.

VS 72

UC - Wide Open
PE - 26 seats unoccupied with 7 blocked
EC - Wide Open

Although the seat map shows a number of unoccupied seats VS are only selling 4 PE seats at the highest fare bucket so I don't think they are trying to mislead you. It maybe that many people haven't chosen their exact seats at this moment and as the bookings for the flight have only recently opened it does look as though the PE cabin will be busy even at this early stage.

I hope that helps.

Thanks, it does and it doesn’t :.

Could they be holding back PE seats?

Virgin were only showing 4 seats in the W fare bucket and it is their live inventory that I check so subject to change but when fare buckets are only showing in the highest booking class(es) it is unlikely that lower ones become available. If a large cancellation happened then lower fares might become available but that is an unknown factor - it is extremely unlikely that VS are holding PE seats back.

You also have to factor in that not only are passengers making new bookings but also changing their trips from 2020 and also using vouchers. It is a very complicated situation for 2021.
