2021 Package or DiY
I was going to book with WDW UK direct and add flights on, then I thought maybe still Booking with WDW UK, then booking a flight with BA adding a hotel on for one night so I could get ATOL protection. I then thought of TUI and then had a reasonable quote from Ever After Holiday, I just worry due to the current situation they could get into problems. I’m also waiting to see if any free dining plan is offered. Any advice please. I’m getting anxious of what too do, so any help, please.

I’m having the same issues around next year too .
I’ve only done a package to Florida but having lost our trip to New York and having had such great service with BA am considering the flexibility of DIY and adding this on at the beginning next year. Please can you explain about adding on the one night hotel to give ATOL cover as this might swing it for me I’m also going to get a quote from Ever After Holidays when my dates are more certain . I believe they are part of Hays Travel who re opened a lot of the Thomas Cook shops when they closed. Please let us know what you decide to do . |

If you book multi city flights and hotel at the airport the night before it will turn into a package. My plan for August 2021 is booking Disney accommodation ( hoping for free dining ) and booking flights and a hotel with BA. All payable by deposit.
I am planning to fly down day before orlando flight from Newcastle, stop overnight in an airport hotel and then fly from London to Orlando. All bookable through BA holidays. That will be payable by deposit. |

Thanks for clarifying that ,I’ve seen lots of people saying this but didn’t even realise the hotel could be before you fly .

To be honest if you book credit card, I would not worry too much about ATOL or ABTA protection- you have your protection there against the credit card companies. Also if you book a flight and it is cancelled, you can go the Chargeback route as soon as they do not refund in the prescribed time.
I would and will be booking fully cancellable hotels on my next holidays though. ATOL is useful though if an airline goes out of business when you are away.
