Too early perhaps 300 days is the magic number for flights to release is it not? Then we see more options and prices come down.

I was wanting to book a cruise for next May as well from Copenhagen. Prices are super cheap at the moment and with their guarantee we can cancel until the last minute.

Personally I think, if tourist aviation restarts to a degree in say September time then I think you'll get 4 to 6 months of relatively normal pricing for the whole 2021 season, even lower than usual while they try to encourage people back. But one they start getting occupancy levels up a bit expect a gradual ramp up in prices, it really depends when confidence returns and occupancy in much reduced capacity goes up, but I suspect we will end up with the lower end of fares being at least 50% over 2019 prices.

The risk takers will potentially profit, the planners and the risk adverse will more likely get stung or priced out.

We booked a holiday at the start of this when price plummeted and the agent (Jet2) guaranteed cancellation if we couldn't travel. They were good to their word, we got a full refund without penalty when it was clear summer travel this year wasn't possible, money was back on our AMEX within 2 working days.

I think as long as its a reputable agent, book a package with ATOL protection, you have insurance and pay on a credit card, and your prepared (i.e fine with the disappointment if it changes or gets cancelled) and are happy to wait a little while to get the money back if it all goes belly up, the risks are pretty low and you can bag some real bargains.
