go to Pass A grille, out the hotel turn right pass the pink palace Don Cesar Hotel and your there, see wonderful sunsets ..locals sit and have pizza watching the sunset great atmosphere sometimes the Historical society ask a visitor to ring in the sunset in with the Pass a grille bell,My Niece did this one year and is now in their history book

last year we stayed at the grand plaza also for one night. drove down to hotel then went to baseball game. beach was amazing. going to stay for 2 nights next year.

Another vote for Grand Plaza
 We absolutely love this hotel and always book a night here when we are in Orlando! We drive down spend the day at Busch Gardens then onto Grand Plaza We check in get a bite to eat then spend a few hours on the beach enjoying a cocktail or two! The next morning spend a few hours on the beach andthen go exploring We also visit the lovely little village of St Johns Pass which is beautiful and well worth a visit Our holiday just wouldn't be complete without a visit you will love it- oh and the beds at Grand Plaza are THE most comfortable ever!

The Grand Plaza looks stunning.Sadly we havent booked that as our friends coming with us are a family of 5 and it worked out a bit more expensive for them.Maybe next time.Just booked Barefoot beach condo resort at Indian Shores halfway between Clearwater and St Petes.Really looking forward to it.Never done this area before
