1/2hr airboat ride

Is that long enough to experience the thrill of such a ride; particularly for two 7 year olds.

Looking a Boggy Creek as an option

I'd suggest an hour minimum. It takes some time to find certain creatures. It's not like Kilmanjaro Safaris where everything is forced out in front of you.

We did a 45 min private tour and i have to say the time flew by, its great fun not just creeping around the swampy bits looks for gators but flying along on the open water, its one of the best rides in Florida

...one tip i would give is go later in the day if poss, i made the mistake of thinking it would be like Animal Kingdom and it was better to go earlier when the animals are more active, but gators are the opposite captain Ed told us and like the heat so they are harder to find early on.

We did find quite a few thanks to Captain Ed but he said we would have seen a lot more later in the day.

If we had time we would do boggy creek again this year as we loved it but got too much to squeeze in as it is

we did boggy creek on out last trip, saw 3 gators on our half trip, found the 1/2 hour long enough for the kids (DS6 and DD4) they enjoyed it all, and you get to meet a baby gator after the ride

Agree with this we did the same tour and it was enough to see things without the kids (mine were ds 6 dd4)being sat down for too long. They also loved holding the baby gator at the end and we had a lovely family photo too.

That's good to know as we are booked with boggy creek. I haven't told my DS6 yet that we are doing it, but i'm sure he will love it.

We did the half hour Boggy Creek ride and it was enough time. We went in the afternoon and it was hot, I think an hour would have been too long directly in the sun.
